Barstow HS: Sam Barnhart joins CSUB after competing at Barstow HS…was 50-6 as a senior and won a pair of tournaments…became the first wrestler from Barstow HS to earn a scholarship to an NCAA Division I program…had a 2-2 record at the 2006 CIF State Championships…a two-time CIF Southern Section placewinner…was his team’s MVP…earned All-Desert Sky League honors three times…also competed in baseball and track and field at Barstow HS.

Personal: Major is physical education and kinesiology at CSUB…was born in Ankara, Turkey…parents are Ron and Donna Barnhart.
